CHERRIES - FOR HEALTH AND BEAUTY
The cherry should be eaten as much as possible, because its healing properties have been known since ancient times, but today it has received confirmation from official medicine. Medicine praises the cherry as a remedy for gout and arthritis, claiming that 20 cherries are ten times more effective than aspirin. It has also shown its effectiveness as food for good sleep.
The cherry is an extremely healthy fruit because it contains an abundance of vitamins, antioxidants, and other useful ingredients. Thanks to vitamins A, B, and C, bioflavonoids, cellulose, pectin, ellagic acid, anthocyanins, melatonin, the body protects against heart disease, relieves headaches and other painful conditions caused by rheumatic changes.
The presence of potassium enables easier excretion of water from the body. Flavonoids, especially from cherries, are natural anti-inflammatory agents, relieving the symptoms of allergies and asthma. They also strengthen collagen, an element of connective tissue, such as tendons and cartilage.
They are a good source of kercetin, important for preventing heart disease. At the same time, this ingredient hasanticancer properties. They also contain plenty of boron, which in combination with calcium and magnesium has an excellent effect on healthy bones. Cherries also help the body produce melatonin in a safe and healthy way, and improve both physiological and mental functions. Fresh sweet cherries are good for removing physical and mental exhaustion, while sour ones improve the mood.
They are fat-free, low in calories and high in water, which makes them grateful for the weight loss process. Each cherry has only four calories and the necessary amounts of carbohydrates and proteins.
Cherries contain a large amount of vitamin C and zinc, which are very important for the body’s resistance, then folic acid for a healthy heart and bloodstream, calcium for bones and iron for blood. However, the most valuable are plant pigments, the so-called anthocyanidins found in cherries. They strengthen the connective tissue and prevent the formation of wrinkles by destroying harmful enzymes that make the skin old and wrinkled. Cherries can also prevent the formation of cellulite, and anthocyanidins have recently been proven to be good against muscle inflammation and leg cramps at the American University of Vermont.
